BUENAVISTA HEROES PARK
This place proved the gallantry of Himamaylanons during the Japanese rule. The first ever uprising of Negrosanon against the Japanese forces by seven(7) gallant Himamaylanons in the ambush of a truck loaded with more than fifty(50) Japanese soldiers. Located on a hilly area of Brgy. Buenavista approximately 1.5 kilometers away from the National High Way. It could be reached by any type of vehicle with tricycle available anytime at P8.00 per head.
“SPANISH KOTA” (FORTRESS)
A site to remind that Himamaylan was once a seat of governance during the Spanish rule (1795-1849) in Negros Island. A few meters away from the Pascual Ledesma Monument and at the same time just a throw stone away from our town’s fishing wharf- to appreciate the day’s catch and the opportunity to choose varied sizes and kinds of fishes and other marine products.
GENERAL PASCUAL LEDESMA Y VILLASIS MONUMENT
A monument of a prominent figure together with Juan Luna who was with the expedition during World War I to Korea is located at the Gatuslao Park in the Town proper. Making the City Hall as starting point, it could reach simply by walking passing along the town plaza or by tricycle at P8.00 per head. General Ledesma was the 1ST Secretary of Navy of General Aguinaldo’s Revolutionary Government.
ACAPULCO SPRING RESORT
This is twin swimming pool nestled along the mountains of Barangay Mahalang. The placed is overlooking the panoramic view of Himamaylan. It has a cave for one who likes to explore. This haven is also for somebody who wishes to unwind and commune with nature. It is more or less three (3) kilometers away from the National High Way with tricycle or jeepneys as means of transportation on a scheduled basis at P20.00 each. It has cottages available for overnight stay costing P200.00/per cottages for good for four (4) to five (5) persons. Cottages during the day cost P30.00 to P50.00/cottages.
